A New ACLS Online

After reviewing the post-certification feedback from the professionals that have used our service, wte embarked on a website redesign to incorporate some of their suggestions. Our goal was to offer more content to practitioners that could be used in the field.

Here are some of the new features we have added.

AMRI Educational Library

  • AMRI Case Studies - Real-life scenarios documented by our faculty to challenge healthcare professionals.
  • Frequently Missed Questions - Discussions about tough examination questions from past and present AMRI exams.

News Articles & Blogs

  • Our Physician's Insight Blog - A creative approach to medical news designed to help you become a better practitioner.
  • Highlights From Cardiology Events - Hear about the top sessions at events and conferences around the country.

Please visit the new site and give us your feedback (you could win a $50 amazon.com gift certificate.) Your comments and suggestions will assist us in making the site as user friendly, relevant and helpful to you as possible.

Introducing Our Physician’s Insight Blog

We have developed Our Physician’s Insight Blog to help you become a better practitioner. The blog offers a creative approach to timely medical news. AMRI Faculty Physicians will post to the blog on a regular basis and we invite you to offer comments or ask questions.

Here are a couple of the stories that we've offered our opinions and tips:

Tragedy in Aurora, CO

The tragic situation which unfolded in Aurora, Colorado in July has stirred many to consider how they would contribute assistance in a similar event.

Our Tactical Medical Training Department explores how off-duty healthcare professionals should prepare for these scenarios. See Our Preparation Tips

Cardiovascular Death Risk Linked With Living Solo

A new study claims that around 1 in every 7 American adults live by themselves, and when a person is socially isolated, their risk of health problems increases.

How can this knowledge help your patients? See What Our Physician Says

Our faculty has written another original case study and added it to the educational library on our new website.

Should there be different pharmacology for ischemic vs. non-ischemic stable ventricular tachycardia?

Conferences & Events

Our new "On the Road" section of the website features recent conferences and events we attended. We summarize the top sessions we learned about.

This spring we attended the 61st Annual American College of Cardiology’s (ACC) Spring Conference hosted in Chicago. This scientific session featured "the best in cardiovascular science education as well as eye-opening studies and clinical trials".

We thought it would be helpful to highlight the top four studies for your reference:

  • CT Scan Can Improve Chest Pain Diagnoses without Raising Costs (Video)
  • Bypass Surgery Beats Angioplasty for Long-term Survival (Video)
  • No Difference in Safety Measures for Patients Off-Pump or On-Pump during CABG
  • New Cholesterol Drug Faces Sudden Challenge

We also attended the Heart Rhythm Society's 33rd Annual Scientific Sessions in Boston. Read about a couple sessions we attended.
