All American Medical Resource Emergency Care Certification courses (CPR, ACLS & PALS) are based solely on the most recent (2020) Guidelines of the American Heart Association's (AHA) International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) and are accredited by the National Board of Emergency Care Certifications (NBECC).
No, there is no time limit so you can take the exam at your own pace. If needed, you may log out and return to your exam in progress at a later date.

Yes, our online ACLS/PALS courses are accredited for 10 continuing education credits and our BLS courses are accredited for 2 continuing education credits by the National Board of Emergency Care Certifications.
How long is my ACLS/PALS/BLS certification good for?Expand / Collapse
Your ACLS/PALS/BLS certification is valid for 2 years from the date of completion.

Yes, you can access our courses anywhere at anytime from your desk to your tablet, and even on your smartphone.
How are my clinical skills documented in the full provider education program?Expand / Collapse
After successful completion of the online education program and online provider examination, a completed clinical skills verification form must be received. The form requires a verifying signature by your local hospital or local educator/clinical supervisor, before the provider card will be issued. (Forms will be sent to you with your ACLS or PALS Manual.)
We provide access to AMRI's Case Study Library as well as practice questions and other resources. The full ACLS/PALS provider course includes the ACLS/PALS manual which is mailed to you. The ACLS/PALS recertification does not include the ACLS/PALS manual but can be ordered separately. We also have available for purchase the Handbook of Emergency Cardiovascular Care and Guidelines for CRP/ECC.
If my ACLS/PALS/BLS has expired, can I still take the recertification?Expand / Collapse
Yes. However, remember that the more time that has passed since your last course, the less comfortable you may be with the content and updated information. Make sure to prepare adequately.

You will receive a free instant copy of your provider card via email and you can also download a copy when logged into your account from your account dashboard.
How are my clinical skills documented in the online recertification program?Expand / Collapse
At the end of the recertification examination, you will be provided with a page where your clinical skills training and present skills relating to your role in resuscitation will be documented and made part of your provider recertification record. This process replaces activities with plastic manikins, which have never been demonstrated to accurately predict practice performance.
