2016 AMRI Scholarship Program Award Coming Soon

The American Medical Resource Institute® is committed to helping medical professionals obtain and maintain their ACLS and PALS certifications. This commitment extends to those who are not yet medical professionals, but who are on the road to becoming one.

That is why, in 2015, we announced the formation of an annual AMRI scholarship for those currently in school to obtain a degree in a medical field. The $2,000 scholarship is intended to help someone who is dedicated to helping others through medical expertise and is working toward that goal.

Applicants for our 2016 scholarship were asked to submit an essay of no fewer than 2,000 words. In the first part of the essay, they were to answer the question, “What inspired you to embark on a career within your chosen healthcare field?”; and in the second part they were asked to answer either “What do you think would be the most difficult aspect of applying ACLS or PALS techniques to a person in need?” or “Where will your ACLS or PALS certification take you? Write about where you are in your career goals now and where you see yourself in five, ten and fifteen years.”

The application deadline for our 2016 Scholarship Award was December 31, 2015. Since then, members of our staff have been busy reading through the essays submitted by many hopeful applicants. We have been narrowing down the submissions and will be posting our finalists on social media page to allow the members of our AMRI community to vote on their favorite.  The author of whichever essay receives the most “likes” will be awarded $2,000 to be used toward their school tuition.

AMRI’s top choices will be posted on January 21 and the voting period will last until January 31 11:59PM CST. The official winner will be announced on February 5. This is an exciting new way that AMRI is demonstrating its commitment to the medical community, and we are happy to allow those in our Facebook family to participate.
