American Medical Resource Institute (AMRI) is the largest stand-alone Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) training program in the country. Since 1983, we have offered the highest quality, most innovative, post-graduate continuing education programs available.
Our faculty has educated more than 932,762 health care and legal professionals in the United States and in more than 30 countries.
We founded AMRI while practicing at a large university medical center in the early 1980s. Education budgets were being slashed, yet hospitals were still required to provide ongoing training to their professionals staffs. Responding to this need for affordable post-graduate education, we gathered a diverse group of healthcare specialists and educators to create the first portable, professional ACLS faculty and courses for hospitals. We collaborated with our peers across the United States to implement the courses.
We have the most user-friendly systems for documenting clinical skills. We are the undisputed leader.
What Sets Us Apart
For years, volunteer faculty conducted ACLS and PALS courses with little ability to provide meaningful clinical education. This "quick" route to certification/recertification has exploded with the proliferation of inferior online courses. Unlike others, AMRI was developed by professionals who have worked with hospitals and other professional institutions for more than three decades. Our courses create clinical scenarios that challenge students; they stimulate memory in a way that empowers students later in real world clinical settings.
Our programs have evolved from on-site to online, but our goal remains the same: To provide the highest quality educational product on the market using a multi-disciplinary approach.
