AMRI offers both Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) provider education courses conducted totally online. By using many Clinical Cases and highly helpful supplemental materials, users comfortably assimilate the core concepts and prepare to take the provider examination. Special appendices address pharmacology and other important topics and can be accessed throughout the program. These courses are ideal for the first-time learner and are used by many practitioners to recertify (for a more in depth review). The materials are studied at the user's own pace, and the examination can be taken whenever the user is comfortable.
Registration includes a copy of the most recent AHA ACLS or PALS Manual, as well as detailed instructions on how to complete your Clinical Skill Evaluation at your place of employment or practice. This program satisfies Skill/Performance testing requirements imposed by most organizations.
ACLS Provider Education/Certification Course = $275.00 (includes educational program, ACLS manual, certification examination, ACLS provider card, and CE credit)

The Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) recognition period is twenty-four months. In order to renew provider status, several options are available:
(1) Participate in the ACLS or PALS online educational course.
(2) Self-review of the most current published ACLS or PALS clinical recommendations (2005 Guidelines for CPR & ECC), retake the provider examination, and complete clinical skills inventory documentation.
Because many busy health care professionals maintain their proficiency and knowledge after taking the provider course, a self-paced review followed by re-examination provides the most expedient and cost-effective method to recertify. In addition, time away from a practice, plus travel expenses, can become overwhelming. Online recertification provides the opportunity to study and review at your own pace and, when you are ready, take the examination in the comfort of your own home or office, while earning up to 10 hours of credit. Upon successful completion, you will receive your ACLS or PALS card, plus a continuing professional education certificate.
Online ACLS and PALS recertification is approved for CE credit by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA code number 33933 for ACLS, 31934 for PALS) for a maximum of 7 hours; Category 1 Physicians Recognition award credit by the ACLS Certification Board Incorporated (up to a maximum of 10 hours).
ATTN: CERTIFIED REGISTERED NURSE ANESTHETISTS In order to qualify for the 7.0 hours of AANA CE credit, CRNAs must complete the exam successfully (84% or better) on the first attempt. There are no retesting attempts permitted.
THE PROGRAM IS ONLY OPEN TO THOSE PREVIOUSLY ACLS/PALS TRAINED. If you have never taken ACLS or PALS, you cannot participate in this online program. The fee schedule for online recertification is below:
ACLS Recertification Exam - $175.00 PALS Recertification Exam - $175.00
The certification examination is based on the most recent publications of the American Heart Association (AHA), the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and the ACLS Certification Board (ACBI). The examination is made up of 75 multiple-choice questions, covering core concepts of ACLS or PALS. Successful completion requires a minimum score of 84% on the written examination, and completion of the clinical skills inventory. NOTE: 15 of the 75 questions are used for internal study/evaluation purposes and are not used to determine passing score. In the event a candidate is unsuccessful, he/she can request input from a member of our staff who will provide needed assistance with remediation. When ready, the exam can be repeated. There is no additional charge.
Once you have registered for a certification exam, you will have a 90-day period to take the examination. You will have 150 minutes to complete the examination. Once you enter the examination, you must complete it within that time period. You cannot exit and re-enter the examination. In addition, you are prohibited from copying, printing, saving, or transferring the contents of your examination under penalty of law. Be advised that this site has sophisticated electronic monitoring capable of detecting any attempts to save, print, or reproduce the examination. To maintain integrity of the process, violators will be subject to severe civil and criminal penalties with no exceptions.
