Thank you for visiting aclsonline.us. My associates and I were inspired to establish the American Medical Resource Institute ™ (AMRI) almost 30 years ago while practicing at a large university medical system where the education budget had been slashed dramatically.
We created the first portable professional ACLS faculty and courses for hospitals and then collaborated with our peers across the country to implement the courses. Our program has evolved over the years from on site to online education, but our goal remains the same: To offer the highest quality educational product on the market using a multi-disciplinary approach with case-studies that impart our clients with knowledge and practical tools that they can use in a clinical setting.
At the time of our origin, many hospitals were required to provide ongoing training to their professional clinical staff, but the expense was exorbitant due to the first wave of healthcare cost cutting. In 1982, we gathered a diverse group of health care specialists and educators to help respond to the need for post-graduate medical education. Since then, AMRI has provided innovative courses in post-graduate health care education for 28 years.
From the time we began operation in 1983 and for over two decades, we were the largest single stand alone on-site ACLS and PALS training program in the country. Our faculty represents well-known academics and clinicians from coast to coast. And, our newer online school provides thousands of U.S. practitioners, from all 50 states, educational services as well as health care workers from 30 foreign countries.
For years, volunteer faculty has often conducted ACLS and PALS courses with little ability to provide meaningful clinical education. This “quick” route to certification/recertification has deteriorated with the introduction of online courses operated by money-hungry individuals working from their spare bedroom or UPS mailbox rental store front. These scam operations are acceptable to those who simply want to memorize information or just provide a credit card number to get certified. By contrast, our courses are developed by a broad spectrum of healthcare professionals who create clinical scenarios that challenge our clients, rather than provide dry didactic lectures. These real life scenarios stimulate memory that is very empowering for students.
AMRI pre-tests and examinations are designed for those people who want to gain new insight and valuable tools that can be utilized the clinical arena. AMRI designed the most effective and user-friendly systems for documentation of clinical skill activity in the industry.
Since AMRI's inception, our goal has been to provide top-quality continuing education to healthcare professionals utilizing case-based models. Our vision remains the same today, now including the highest-quality online post-graduate educational experience available.
